Some experience planning, shooting and editing professional quality videos from start (shooting footage) to finish (final edit using music and graphic elements) especially for sports.

Experience working with video and creative needs for collegiate sports programs.

Job Description:

The Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking hard working, responsible, motivated candidates for an entry-level, post-graduate associate position supporting Athletics Cyclones.tv media production operations. Under supervision, this position will receive exposure to professional aspects of collegiate athletics productions in a progressive learning mode.

  • Assists with ideation, creation and implementation of digital content for social media.

  • Shoots videos and photos, including live events.

  • Creates video content for assigned sports and projects for fan and recruit consumption.

  • Operates a variety of equipment in production of media projects.

  • Edits content using a variety of software.

  • Creates animation, graphics, and other digital content for productions.

  • Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA , Big 12, and university policies.

The ideal candidates will be able to create and produce compelling video to drive engagement on social/digital media and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must have basic skills in cinematic shooting and editing. This position involves non-traditional hours and requires the ability to work some evening and weekend events and to travel to assigned overnight competitions. Candidates must be able to move and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds, and have the ability to stand, kneel, sit or bend to capture the best photo and video footage.

Position Details : Structured similar to a post-grad internship. $28,000 annualized salary, plus overtime pay; receives paid time off; full benefits package.

Term of Appointment : July 2024 – June 2025

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship through the term of employment.
