Position Summary
Mary Greeley Medical Center Cardiac Rehabilitation is seeking an intern for the spring 2025 semester to assist in meeting the goals of cardiac and pulmonary patients on their recovery journey. This position will have physical interaction with patients who need telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse ox monitoring, before, during and after exercise. Internship must be required for academic credit. All requirements must be met per college specialty.
Position Responsibilities
Participate in Mary Greeley internship events (presentations, education, outreach, etc).
Research and revision of assigned cardiac rehab projects
Helping with office duties, class prep and turnover
Developing individualized exercise plans for patients
Gradually taking on a patient load, up to 2 patients per class
Learning telemetry monitoring, manual blood pressures, and patient assessment
Learn Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation processes, priorities, and routines.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
Undergraduate senior studying kinesiology and health or related field. Internship must be required for academic credit. All requirements must be met per college specialty.
Strong communication skills, independent worker, intuitive, strong initiative, and critical thinking skills.
Excel and Word proficiency.
