Pay Range: $18 - $30 per hour (Competitive pay range depending on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (occasional weekends and overtime during plant shutdowns)
Dress Code: Jeans and a t-shirt (no holes), steel-toe boots required
Job Description: Join our dynamic Commercial Small Projects Team as a Sheet Metal Technician ! In this role, you will be responsible for working with sheet metal and installing ductwork to support HVAC systems. You will service all HVAC products and equipment up to approximately 50 tons, including ancillary components. This is a hands-on position, where you will ensure customer satisfaction while working independently or under the guidance of an experienced HVAC Field Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
Service HVAC products and equipment up to approximately 50 tons.
Use hand tools and interpret blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose, repair, and install units.
Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems and products at customer locations.
Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as requested by customers.
Prepare for installations and repairs by reviewing building layouts, anticipating challenges, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site activities.
Maintain service vehicles, keeping records of service manuals, scheduled maintenance, and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of parts, materials, labor, and cost data for each assignment.
Skills and Qualifications:
1+ year of experience with HVAC systems, sheet metal, ductwork, and related trades (Residential, Industrial, or Commercial).
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, and repair.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery used in HVAC and sheet metal work.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DMV test.
Additional Info:
ABC of Iowa Apprenticeship Opportunity: The company covers all costs for the 4-year training period to become a Licensed Journeyman.
Full Year of Training: As a laborer, you will assist the Journeyman and have the opportunity to enter the apprenticeship program.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00
