Ames Community School District is seeking Substitute Educational Assistants for the 2024-25 school year. Enjoy a flexible schedule - work when and where you want: preschool, elementary, or secondary grades.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Supports teachers in meeting the needs of students in all classrooms including special education.
Supports academic instruction with small groups of students.
Supervises students during other components of the school day.
Accepts work assignments on-call.
Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all students.
Onsite work required.
Qualifications:
Ability to relate effectively to children with different academic and behavioral needs.
Must complete the following trainings prior to starting as a substitute EA: Bloodborne Pathogens, Mandatory Reporter, and Seclusion and Restraint: Chapter 103. (Ames CSD will provide training instructions upon successful completion of background check.)
