Job Description:
Iowa State University Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a Systems Analyst I to provide technical support for the Thielen Student Health Center. This role involves supporting and optimizing the center's software systems, including Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and pharmacy software. The position combines technical expertise with a focus on healthcare operations, ensuring the seamless functioning of critical systems that serve our student community.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Laboratory Information Systems to support lab operations, including new tests, rules, and error resolution.
Ensure seamless integration and data exchange between lab systems, reference laboratories, and EMRs.
Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain systems infrastructure, including Harvest, EvoView, and ProPharm.
Train staff and manage user access for LIS, pharmacy software, and EMR systems.
Support and resolve application, hardware, network, and server issues for clinic staff.
Prepare and manage reports for internal use, state agencies, and the CDC.
Collaborate with clinic administration to identify and implement functional requirements.
Conduct quality control and assurance tasks, ensuring system and operational accuracy.
Document resolutions and processes in the ticketing system for transparency and continuity.
Ensure HIPAA compliance through routine audits and adherence to security protocols.
Work Environment
This hybrid position offers flexibility with one day per week remote work, ensuring a balance between on-site support and remote collaboration.
