Position SummaryThe Purchasing Analyst will play a key, strategic role in the Purchasing team's ability to support our fast-paced and growing business. This position requires a detail oriented, organized, and strategic thinking individual who has related experience in purchasing, supply chain, finance, or Operations/Business Management in the food industry.

This is a TEMPORARY need to work November 2024 thru April 2025.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Manage Order Confirmations to ensure accuracy against the PO, including price, quantity, delivery date etc.

• Immediately communicate discrepancies to appropriate Buyer

• Release the PO for processing once confirmation is complete

• Pull Bills of Material (BOM's) for each projected schedule for kitchen facilities, and provide to appropriate Buyers

• Create a calendar for dock appointments related to all incoming shipment associated with Purchase Orders and sample requests

• Communicate effectively across departments to ensure appointments are secured

• Maintain RMA and all retuned merchandise to suppliers for accounting

• Manage Certificate of Analysis (COA's), by receiving from vendor and saving appropriately in system for further review and approval

• Request & acquire all necessary documentation for new items / ingredients from vendor regarding new item set up

• Maintain Vendor Master Contact List with applicable information

Required Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum of three to five years of experience in purchasing and or supply chain within the food industry

• Proficient with SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and an ERP system

• Ability to multitask and have excellent organization skills

• Team Player; has excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or other related field

• Experience with Microsoft AX

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers

• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods

• Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
