Seeking an Electronics Technician in Urbandale, IA!!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electronics Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling hardware, constructing, and installing wire harnesses, circuit boards, and load boards.

Additionally, the technician will test and support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Test-in-the-Loop (TIL) simulators for various platforms including:

• Tractors, Combines, Sprayers, Planters, Air Carts, and Seeders

• Sugar Cane Harvesters and Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters

• Self-Propelled Windrowers, Rate Controllers, and Star Fire Receivers

Responsibilities

• Assemble hardware, construct, and install wire harnesses, circuit boards, and load boards.

• Utilize tools such as drills, saws, measuring tools, and soldering equipment to build components based on prints and specifications.

• Test and support electronics simulators for various platforms.

• Collaborate with simulation developers to ensure operational integrity and completeness of assembled hardware solutions using multi-meters.

• Troubleshoot and correct electrical issues on HIL/TIL simulators to maintain operational readiness.

• Support enhancements to legacy HIL/TIL systems as required.

• Review schematics and estimate the time required for tasks.

• Plan and prioritize tasks, determining the sequence of operations for efficient project completion.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in assembling and installing electronic components.

• Ability to perform hands-on tasks, including measuring, drilling, stripping wire, and soldering.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and specifications.

• Skilled in using hand tools such as drills, saws, measuring tools, and soldering equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using multi-meters.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

• Basic understanding of how components fit together in electronic and mechanical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No formal degree required; relevant experience is essential.

Work Environment

This position is onsite. The role offers two weeks of PTO and six holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00
