Seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Ankeny, IA!!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering prescriptions into our operating system, ensuring accurate notes and cycle fill coding, calculating and verifying dosages, and processing prescriptions during regular shifts. This role also involves customer service interactions regarding prescriptions and following up with doctor offices for refills. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician will utilize all pharmacy systems and may assist the fulfillment team with orders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescriptions into the operating system accurately.

• Ensure proper notes in the computer and cycle fill coding.

• Calculate and verify the dosage of prescriptions.

• Confirm that all prescriptions are assigned and processed during regular shifts.

• Provide customer service regarding prescriptions.

• Follow up with doctor offices for refills.

• Utilize all pharmacy systems effectively.

• Assist the fulfillment team with orders when needed.

• Maintain data records for cycle medication, fill requests, and process cycle medication orders.

Essential Skills

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certificate required.

• 2+ years of experience preferred.

• Proficiency in data entry.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a Fulfillment Technician or Maintenance Technician is a plus.

• Strong customer service skills.

Work Environment

This position requires working the first shift starting at 7 AM, with the possibility of working later than 8 hours depending on orders. The Pharmacy Technician will work every 4th weekend with time off during the week for the weekend shift rotation. The role involves working behind a computer most of the time but may also require assisting on the fulfillment floor. Once trained, a hybrid schedule is available, so a quiet workspace at home is necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
