Essential Duties: % of Time Duties

Perform, support, and shadow RandD Department

Collaborate with internal customers to meet a common goals

  • Key areas for learning include: RandD product evaluations, product formulation, Product Blending, sample packaging, regulatory basics for labeling/development, new item setup in company software (MDM/JDE), DevEx (formulation and specification) Program.

Coordinate and assist in RandD initiatives and projects.

Specific initiatives and projects will be identified prior to the start of the internship, based on business need and intern knowledge, skills, and abilities, based on the following projects.

  • Product blending and sample packaging, product improvement, Ingredient Library Upkeep, raw material evaluations, shelf-life evaluations. Data entry for specifications.

Food Science or related major

Sophomore level or higher classification

Minimum Qualifications Education, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum Formal Education:

High School Diploma

Bachelor Degree (in-process)

Physical:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to taste or smell, talk, hear, and use fingers, hands and arms. There will also be occasional standing, walking, and sitting.

There is frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. The employee will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts

Specific vision requirements are close and color vision.

The noise level for this position is usually moderate.
