A Typical Day for a Director of Assisted Living with The Summit of Bettendorf:

• Oversee the daily operations of the assisted living facility, ensuring residents receive high-quality care and support.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident safety, well-being, and satisfaction.

• Manage and coordinate the activities and services provided to residents, including personal care, meals, and recreational programs.

• Supervise and support assisted living staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to create personalized care plans and ensure residents' individual needs are met.

• Monitor resident health and wellness, coordinating with healthcare providers to address medical needs promptly.

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all applicable state and federal regulations, quality assurance, compliance, clinical and social modeling. Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.

• 3 years: Three to five years of previous nursing leadership experience

Preferred

• Demonstrate the ability to actively advocate and model resident-directed care within the health center environment. Must demonstrate a passion to act as a champion for change within the industry, the ability to lead others through change and the ability to make decisions that lead toward new approaches and ways of thinking.
