Adecco US, Inc. Industrial Controls Technician in Bettendorf, Iowa

Adecco's Executive Search and Placement Team is partnered with one of our favorite customers to help them hire an Industrial Controls Technician for their Team in Bettendorf, IA.

The Controls Technician will ensure control programming of equipment and tooling is complete, safe, and functional while communicating with project management staff and supervisors on issues that may arise.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets.

  • Write and debug effective and safe control programs, which meet end user requirements and company expectations.

  • Work with Robotic Programmers and HMI Programmers to ensure full functionality of the system.

  • Maintain quality of equipment shipped.

  • Meet requirements for internal runoffs, safety inspections, and other quality control procedures.

  • Debugging of electrical and mechanical systems as needed for operation of all machines.

  • Effective communication with robotic programmers regarding necessary requirements to ensure a project runs smoothly.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Experience / Skills:

  • High attention to detail and quality.

  • Able to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks.

  • Able to keep work area clean and organized.

  • Able to follow directions from peers within the Integration department.

  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills.

  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; or similar Associate's degree with experience will be considered.

  • 1+ year or more of experience in PLC programming.

  • Machine programming (PLC/HMI) experience.

  • Safety system programming and troubleshooting experience.

  • Network programming and troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience in robotic welding (MIG, TIG, laser, spot) preferred.

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
