Job Title: Operator

Job Description

We are looking to add five dedicated operators to our team. As an operator, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient machine operation, minimizing scrap, and maintaining high-quality production standards. Your role will involve monitoring product changeovers, verifying line clearances, and supporting packers during breaks and lunches. You will also be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing production line reports.

Responsibilities

• Minimize scrap on each machine and verify correct color concentration.

• Prepare for and monitor product changeovers and verify line clearances.

• Compare cycle times to standards and ensure efficient production.

• Pack bottles to support packers during breaks and lunches.

• Verify correct operation of downstream equipment.

• Ensure production of high-quality bottles during restarts.

• Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs.

• Complete machine production line reports accurately.

• Identify and react to various sounds and alarms.

• Assist material operator with responsibilities as needed.

Work Environment

The work environment details, including temperature and cleanliness, will be provided after a tour. The job involves working in two shifts: 7am - 7pm (A & B) and 7pm - 7am (C & D), totaling 15 working days per year. Note that no call, no show (NCNS) will result in automatic termination, and you are allowed two call-ins per month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, Iowa.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50
