JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Maintenance Electrician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager; Maintenance Supervisor

FLSA: Non-Exempt (hourly)

[Summary/Objective:

[To provide service and maintenance to all the bakery equipment and the building.

  • Perform building maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to inspect, observe, lubricate, adjust and analyze equipment operation for needed repair or replacement.
  • Install, transfer, move, and set up operating/testing machines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls and preventative maintenance reports.
  • Follow company policies and OSHA regulations to ensure safe work habits and conditions for all employees.
  • Responsible for keeping the work area clean and following housekeeping and sanitation practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

[Education Requirements/Licenses]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical wiring
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Industrial Electrician 442a or 309a ticket preferred.

[Specific Knowledge and Abilities:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • Ability to identify various parts, read mechanical and electrical blueprints, read instructions, gauges, scales, thermometers, micrometers, etc.
  • Understand complex instructions and read equipment manuals, blueprints, measuring instruments, notices and work schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software and basic computer skills.
  • PLC Experience, especially with Allen Bradley controls preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the field(s) of: plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, welding and fabrication a plus

Must frequently be able to sit or stand for long periods.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
