THE DRAKE INC Line Cook in BURLINGTON, Iowa
The Drake Restaurant is looking for experienced cooks. Full time and Part time positions available. Opportunity for advancement for the right individual. Professional kitchen experience is a required. Knowledge of standard cooking methods is required. Must be able to lift 10-50 pounds. Must be able to reach to heights of 6 feet and depths of 30 inches. Daily duties will include standing, bending, kneeling and walking. Must be able to multitask under pressure in a busy kitchen. Serv Safe Food Safety Certification preferred but not required, will provide training if necessary Serv Safe Food Safety work procedures will be required [Monitor the quality and develop strategies to improve the product. [Possess the ability to be proficient in all cook stations and prep tasks. [Maintain and uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards of restaurant [Uphold all cooking, prepping, and plating standards to insure restaurant success [Ensure that all food is being handled in a safe manner. [Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly. [Understand the menu and its ingredients and be able to explain them to staff members. [Understand the most common allergies and how to prepare food for a guest with an allergy. [Attend and contribute to kitchen meetings.
