  1. Maintain confidentiality.
  2. Represent the Agency and Program to the public, individuals, organizations, and other agencies.
  3. Develop and prepare the annual grant application, interpret state and federal guidelines, develop the annual budget, interpret data system reports, and participate in the community needs assessments in the Agencys service area. Prepare any revisions as necessary.
  4. Oversee accurate completion of all Agency reports and records, contractual relationships with health providers, and provide training to these groups as necessary.
  5. Authorize payment of all bills and expenditures in compliance with fiscal procedures; approve time sheets and travel requests.
  6. Maintain partnerships with each local board of health so WIC remains within the scope of public health practice at the community level.
  7. Oversee outreach activities including serving as a health professional representing the WIC program and the Agency to the public and providing program information to interested professionals, outside agencies, organizations, and individuals.
  8. Determine staffing needs and recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate WIC staff.
  9. Organize and manage clinic sites, including determination of clinic sites, hours of service, and scheduling issues.
  10. Coordinate the use of and the maintenance of WIC vehicles and equipment.
  11. Attend meetings, conferences, and workshops as necessary or required by the State Department or Agency deemed relevant to program operations.
  12. Serve on the Agencys Training Committee and other committees as assigned.
  13. Model professional behavior and dress code.

[**[SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: [This position supervises all WIC program staff members.

[**[EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE: [The individual must have a Bachelors Degree (B.S.) in Dietetics, Nutrition or a related field. Must have five (5) years of public health experience and be a current Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of Iowa.

[**[LANGUAGE SKILLS: [Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, legal documents, general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Candidate should have ability to write reports and business correspondence, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and the general public. Ability to relate positively with the public and diverse populations.
