Job Title: Millwright Technician

Location: Carlisle, Iowa

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 7 am - 5 pm / Weekly Pay

Job Description: Seeking a skilled Millwright Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for performing millwright work and stick welding to install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment in various settings. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:

• Install and align machinery and equipment according to specifications and blueprints.

• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Welding and Fabrication:

• Perform stick welding on various materials and components, ensuring strong and reliable welds.

• Fabricate metal components as needed for repairs and installations.

• Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure alignment and tolerances are met.

• Safety Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

• Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained and operated safely.

• Collaboration:

• Work effectively within a team, communicating clearly with other technicians and project managers.

• Provide support for other trades as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in millwright or welding preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in millwright work and stick welding.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

• Strong mechanical skills and experience with industrial machinery.

• Welding Proficiency:

• Experience in stick welding.

• Experience with other welding techniques is a plus.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety.

Work Environment:

• This position is primarily based in a shop environment with travel to job sites as required.

• Work may involve lifting heavy objects and operating machinery in various conditions.
