Description: Gifted and Talented TeacherJob Summary:
To provide Carroll Community School District students intellectual and academic challenges that will foster a spirit of inquiry, a sense of self-worth, and reinforce the value we place on total development.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Implements the Carroll Community School District's Gifted and Talented Plan. 2. Provides qualitatively differentiated education for gifted and talented students. 3. Identifies gifted and talented students and determineslevels of needs and types of educational opportunities required. 4. Works with classroom teachers at all grade levels and in all departments to accommodate the needs of students in all learning environments. 5. Meets with gifted and talented advisory committee (teachers, parents, administrator....) 6. Works with families and community to the degree required to ensure services to gifted and talented students. 7. Seeks out and recommends appropriate worthwhile academic competition programs for students. 8. Secures gifted and talented endorsement if not certified at time of employment. 9. Assumes other duties as requested by Superintendent, Curriculum Director, and Elementary, Middle School, High School Principals.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with a gifted and talented endorsement
