Description:

Provides psycho-social evaluation, therapy, and resource referral services to psychiatric patients. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Adheres to MercyOne performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.

What you will Do:

  • Provides psycho-social evaluation and therapy to psychiatric patients and their families.

  • Provides ongoing therapeutic services to patients and their families.

  • Consults with multidisciplinary treatment team and psychiatrist as needed.

  • Documents services.

  • Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.

*Hours/Schedule: *

40 hours biweekly (.5 FTE)

*Minimum Qualifications: *    

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from a Council of Social Work Education accredited university or a Social Work Doctorate Degree.

  • Licensed Independent Social Worker; if drives, valid Iowa driver’s license with current auto insurance. BLS. Mandatory Reporter
