BASIC FUNCTION:

To operate and supervise the Cedar Falls CSD Concession Stand at High School athletic events and activities. Work will be performed in most instances on weekday evenings and weekends. The incumbent must be at least 16 years of age in compliance with youth employment provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (See Dept. of Labor Wage and Hour Division Fact Sheet # 43 : Child Labor Provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for Nonagricultural Occupations, attached)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for Operations:

  • Open/close concession stand and athletic events and other events as designated by the administration.

  • Be available during the event for staff, volunteer workers and customer questions and issues

  • Communicates effectively with all volunteers and management

  • Responsible for Supervisor:

  • . Supervises all stand district workers and volunteers and provides assistance with food preparration and POS system.

  • Keep all unauthorized persons out of the concession stands

  • Reports all problems affecting concession stand operations to the Food service System Accounting Clerk

  • Responsible for following cash handling processes for the District

  • Complete annual evaluation of Concessions attendant(s)

  • Responsible for Maintenance:

  • . Prepare food according to food safety plan

  • Oversees the cleanliness and sanitation of the stand and equipment

  • Keep the equipment in good repair as directed by the Food Service System Accounting Clerk and Food & Nutrition Director

  • Acquires ServSafe certification

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned

  • Annual evaluations will be conducted by the Head of Concession Operation and Athletic Director.
