A Boundary Scan Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. This role involves designing, developing, and testing Boundary Scan JTAG solutions and test hardware for avionics products, leading software design reviews, coordinating electronic apparatus development, and ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and technical specifications.

responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, integrate, and document Boundary Scan JTAG production test solutions for Avionics products.

• Design test hardware, including fixtures, cabling, and circuit cards.

• Lead test software design reviews and ensure the generation of appropriate design and Boundary Scan software.

• Prepare and present project and technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.

• Coordinate and facilitate the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry.

• Ensure work is completed on time and meets established quality and budget requirements.

• Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks to meet business objectives and required specifications.

• Prepare engineering instructions and specifications for constructing or installing equipment, facilities, products, or systems.

• Perform engineering work, including research, development, and design of new and existing products, to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

• 5+ years of relevant experience.

• For Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Key Skillsets Required:

• Knowledge of IEEE Std 1149.1 (JTAG).

• Experience with Boundary Scan tools, including ASSET-Intertech Scanworks, JTAG Technologies, XJTAG.

• Experience with test equipment and test solutions in a manufacturing environment.
