Job Description
The Flex Sample Assistant will support the photo studio operations for Nordstrom and the online store. The Samples Assistant will be responsible for the pulling, processing of samples in our warehouse for daily photoshoots. prepping and organization of merchandise for the daily shoots, based on volume needs. Flexibility in hours during peak periods will be required. Strong clear communication skills and the ability to remain flexible throughout the workday is a must.
A day in the life…
Support the business by ensuring inventory and samples are accurately audited, processed, assembled, efficiently packed and ready for photo studio
Support Studio Operations in-studio and Fulfillment center by picking merchandise and prepping for studio diver or shipment to other locations
Maintain a Material handling – repetitive bending, reaching, standing, walking and lifting 50lb boxes
Utilize best practices following standard operating procedures and reference aids, continuously looking for areas of improvement and communicating suggestions to leadership as appropriate
Research and resolve issues using appropriate resources
Maintain an organized system of sorting samples by size or specialty type for studio.
Accurately enter data into studio tracking tools
Maintain and organize the styling area and supplies.
Ensure adherence of company and studio policies.
You own this if you have…
High volume, e-commerce assisting experience a plus
Skilled in building and maintaining positive working relationships
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Team player with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Flexible, and able to respond immediately to business changes and priorities.
The ability to repetitively bend, reach, stand, walk and lift 50lb boxes without difficulty
The ability to drive productivity through the efficient use of time and a commitment to strong results
Excellent attendance and punctuality
* This is a flexible schedule and on-call, as needed position and not full-time. Hours and scheduling will depend on volume of work.
