Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints and schematics, using electrical instruments such as multi-meters and amp meters, and performing basic soldering. Responsibilities include control and power wiring, climbing up to 35 feet, wiring and testing small stand-alone machines, bending and installing EMT/rigid conduits, organizing prints and layouts, and troubleshooting machine processes. Additional duties involve welding skills for mounting electrical boxes and devices, making up subpanels, pulling and numbering wires, and performing machine and facility repairs and installations.

Hard Skills

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Work Environment

Union shop with 110 employees. The 2nd shift has around 5 people, promoting a small team environment. The facility is non-climate controlled and operates Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime hours available. Optional Saturday shifts are also available. The company manufactures machines that produce duct work for clients globally.
