GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
:
Performs custodial work required for the routine care, maintenance, protection and preservation of the assigned building, its contents, and immediate grounds in order to enhance student learning, promote the overall efficiency of the school system, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child.
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
:
Practicing Catholic strongly preferred
High school diploma or GED
Skill in use and care of hand tools
Experience in custodial industry or ability to be trained and evaluated
Knowledge of housekeeping practices, supplies, materials, equipment, and the ability to perform custodial duties
Knowledge of minor equipment repairs
Knowledge of routine maintenance
Strong organizational skills
Attitude of helpfulness
Able to be discreet and maintain confidentiality
Able to follow oral and written instructions
Able to communicate effectively
Flexible, with changing priorities and processes
Able to remain calm under pressure while handling common inquiries, complaints, or identifying emergent situations
