Overview

Skyworks is an industry leader in cellular handset wireless product development and is seeking talent with expertise in Silicon Integrated Circuit Layout to meet rapidly increasing customer demand. As a Silicon Integrated Circuit Layout Manager, you will lead a team of 4 to 7 people, working closely with RF and analog circuit designers to layout RF switches, RF LNAs and analog integrated circuits for the high volume and fast paced cellular handset market. You’ll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community working across our domestic design centers creating cutting edge products for global markets. Your team will be part of a larger layout group that also provides HBT, Filter, SOI, CMOS and MCM layout services. In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a uniquely large impact on the success of the company by working closely with multiple teams and functions throughout the organization. #LI-DB1

Job Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5-8 people working closely with design engineers in the layout and verification of Integrated Circuits for wireless consumer electronic products

• Interface with domestic and international design engineers and layout teams, in multiple design centers, across multiple time zones

• Mentor and train individuals on RF/analog IC layout using Cadence Virtuoso

• Work closely with other leaders to establish and maintain common best practices and workflows across all sites

• Drive Design Automation (DA) and team efficiency improvements

Required Experience/Skills

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the layout of Silicon and SOI layout designs

• Experience using a schematic/netlist driven CAD layout process

• Strong leadership skills, a self-starter and team player with ability to learn on the job

• Previous IC team leadership experience

• Proficient using Cadence Virtuoso and Calibre verification tools

• Ability to prioritize and allocate layout resources

• Project management experience

• Proficient in layout data review and DRC/LVS checking

• Excellent communication, organizational and mentoring skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600 - $210,600 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
