The Mission Systems Simulation & Training Solutions (STS) organization continues to be a catalyst for new business growth. Our focus is to support the customer after they purchase Collins products and systems. To that end, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, Value Stream Management to lead the sustainment, service, and support of our STS programs. In this role, you will be expected to drive strategy, develop a service approach for various program opportunities, and execute awarded sustainment programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide order capture and program execution expertise for sustainment programs

  • Provide leadership in the areas of planning, organization, and coordination of all functional departments necessary to support pursuits and program execution

  • Provide support to the Business Development organization in ensuring pursuit activities are consistent with the overall business strategy

  • The individual must exhibit the leadership and communication skills to deliver a product that meets customer expectations

  • In the program execution role, the individual will be expected to ensure adherence to the program baseline and serve as the primary customer point of contact in communication of program status

  • Require demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of meeting objectives and satisfying customer requirements

  • Responsible for program/business area growth

  • Provide program status reviews to executive level on occasion

  • Build strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally. External customer contacts are typically mid-level to senior-level program management, engineering, maintenance, and procurement agents

  • Develop strategies and implement solutions for a variety of opportunities of moderate scope and complexity

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Previous service/sustainment P&L execution with US DoD customers required

  • Strong understanding of Operations, Service Centers and how to manage Customer repairs and repair programs

  • Experience leading cross functional or multi-domain teams

  • Understands Performance Based Logistics (PBL) programs/contracts and Public/Private Partnerships (PPP)

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret, Top Secret or TS/SCI Security Clearance on Day 1 is preferred, not required

  • Proven ability to manage the development or execution of a schedule, work breakdown structure (WBS), Statement of Work (SOW) and other project execution artifacts

  • Team player that possesses skills in strategy development, negotiation, budgeting, program planning, financial/schedule performance management, earned value, risk management

  • Extreme level of customer focus and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate skill in customer relationship development and management

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communications skills are required along with the ability to establish effective communication and working relationships with all levels and functions of customer organizations, internally and externally

  • Understanding of Collins Aerospace Pursuit and Order Capture Process and CMS

  • Works with little supervision

  • Be able to travel potentially including International travel

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
