We are in search of a Staff Accountant to become part of our team. This role is a Part-Time, remote, contract employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in handling financial reporting, account reconciliation, and working with tax forms. You will also be tasked with running the trial balance for the general ledger daily and creating cash forecasts. This position requires 20-25 hours of work each week and provides a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly and yearly financial close activities

• Handle daily financial reporting tasks to provide accurate and timely information

• Perform monthly account reconciliation for our three bank accounts to ensure accuracy

• Run the Trial Balance for the general ledger on a daily basis to keep track of all transactions

• Create cash forecasts to assist in financial planning and decision-making

• Assist with the management of pre-paid expenses to ensure accurate financial records

• Have experience working with fixed assets and depreciation schedules to accurately represent the value of our assets

• Utilize multiple systems including Deltek- VantagePoint, Bloomberg, Adra and Excel for various accounting tasks

• Use Excel functionalities such as VlookUPs and Pivot Tables to analyze and present data effectively.

Requirements

• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant.

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is mandatory.

• Familiarity with General Ledger management is required.

• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries is a must.

• Experience with Month End Close processes is essential.

• Knowledge of Deltek software is required.

• Capability to Prepare Trial Balance is expected.

• Experience in managing Prepaids is necessary.

• Proficiency in Financial Reporting is a must.

• Familiarity with Fixed Assets is a must.

• Knowledge in creating and managing Depreciation Schedule is required.
