Job Overview

The Business Analyst - Intern is ideal for a recent graduate or college student looking to gain practical experience in business analysis. Reporting to the Associate Director of Process Engineering, this role involves supporting various business operations by analyzing data, documenting processes, and providing insights to help improve efficiency and decision-making. This position will provide exposure to different aspects of business operations, particularly within the process engineering department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders, particularly within process engineering.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within business processes.

  • Support the development of business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments.

  • Collaborate with process engineering and other departments to ensure alignment and understanding of business needs.

  • Help with the preparation of reports and presentations for management to support decision-making.

  • Participate in process mapping and workflow documentation to optimize business operations within process engineering.

  • Assist in the implementation of new business processes and systems, ensuring they meet business requirements.

  • Support project management activities by tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Maintain and update business documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

  • Engage in continuous learning and development to build business analysis skills and knowledge.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Basic understanding of business processes and operations, especially in a process engineering context.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new business tools and methodologies.

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program, such as Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
