Job Overview

The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in various functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in HR operations, offering the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations. The intern will work closely with HR professionals, contributing to projects and daily activities that support Cambrex's mission to provide innovative solutions for our clients in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

+ + Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.

  • Participate in campus recruiting events and career fairs to promote Cambrex as an employer of choice.

  • Support the candidate experience by maintaining communication and providing updates throughout the recruitment process.

  • Onboarding & Orientation:

  • Help coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and scheduling onboarding sessions.

  • Assist in conducting new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.

  • Employee Engagement:

  • Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, such as employee recognition programs, wellness activities, and company events.

  • Gather feedback from employees on engagement programs and suggest improvements.

  • HR Administration:

  • Maintain employee records in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Assist with the preparation of HR reports and presentations for internal meetings.

  • Support compliance efforts by helping to ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and communicated effectively.

  • Special Projects:

  • Collaborate on HR projects related to talent management, diversity and inclusion, and workforce development.

  • Conduct research and provide recommendations on HR best practices and industry trends.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong interest in developing a career in Human Resources.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
