Job Title: Maintenance Technician Located in Clive, Iowa

Job Description

Provides maintenance support required to sustain continuous operation of packaging and processing equipment. Conducts preventative maintenance for the plant and assists with breakdowns and other mechanical issues throughout the plant. Participates in major overhauls of plant equipment and performs minor repairs to all plant equipment. Responsibilities include working on 3 phase motors, conveyors, and belting for different lines, operating forklifts and fork trucks when needed, and performing basic cleaning and maintenance of the facilities. Other duties include changing drive belts, timing belts, and other parts on all machinery, changing filters and oils in plant equipment, and maintaining water chemistry in necessary systems. The technician will also identify and replace bearings and seals as required, troubleshoot both AC and DC systems (programming not necessary), and perform TIG, MIG, and arc welding on carbon and stainless steel. Repairs and replacements may include vari-drives, speed reducers, vacuum pumps, and product pumps.

Work Environment

Shift: Openings

• 1 Opening A Shift (overnight): Sun 7pm-7:30am; Mon-Thurs 11pm-7:30am

• 1 Opening B Shift (days): Friday - Tuesday 7am - 3:30pm

• 1 Opening C Shift (afternoon): Monday – Friday 3pm – 11:30pm

May be required to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Pay Shift Difference:

• A Shift (overnight): Hourly rate + $1.35/hour

• B Shift (days): NA

• C Shift (afternoon): Hourly rate + $1.00/hour

This is a true plant/assembly line environment, suitable for someone comfortable working in that type of setting. It is a food grade facility, with production not in a chilled environment (60+ degrees). Apply today to find out more!
