This Manager position is part of the Equipment Services department located in Coralville, IA and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage a team of Equipment Service supervisors, shift leads, and technicians for day-to-day activities for all Coralville based equipment groups.

  • Assists with repairs and PMs when needed. Supports manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and sets the technical direction for corrective repairs when guidance is needed.

  • Support TPM activities, including root cause analysis for all breakdowns meeting the site’s trigger.

  • Participate in the development and management of measurable KPIs and performance objectives for the Equipment Services team while ensuring compliance with SOPs and workplace safety programs.

  • Execute hiring, evaluation, and discipline for staff as needed.

  • Accept responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of an activity.

  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5+ years of related experience, or a combination of related education, experience and expertise

  • Must have extensive knowledge of more than one of the following: electrical, controls, pneumatics, mechanical, fluidics, and optical devices.

  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance engineering protocols and equipment.

  • Must be proficient working with computers and data.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel regularly between different IDT locations in Coralville

  • Able to exert 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally or 25-50 lbs. frequently

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrates working proficiency in decision making skills, using experience and judgment to perform tasks and repairs when instructions are not available. Demonstrates ability to learn, deploy and document root cause analysis and investigations related to equipment breakdowns.

  • Leading a process, team, or activity, escalating issues to upper management, showing ownership and accountability with ability to encourage and facilitate cooperation, teamwork, and excellence. Leading a 24 hour operations team.

  • Seeking solutions to overcome barriers; functional SAP skills or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
