In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage, mentor, coach, evaluate and discipline direct reports in the Quality Engineering group/ department.

  • Drive Customer Defect Tracking and Resolution (CDT&R) activities by monitoring and reporting on relevant business and manufacturing processes for the identification of problems and the prioritization of work to develop and optimize solutions (automated/ lead solutions preferred) for manufacturing and other business processes.

  • Establish, in alignment with more senior leaders, appropriate department metrics to support associate evaluations and to enable appropriate work assignment and prioritization by the team lead to associates.

  • Provide training and technical leadership to the Quality Engineering group/ may provide training on problem solving and development methods for developers and production staff across IDT.

  • Participate in, and as needed lead, cross-functional process improvement, optimization and problem-solving projects and communicate updates and results as appropriate to various stakeholders including customers and senior management.

  • Analyze complex data (process, financial, customer, QC, etc.) and communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders including customers and senior management.

  • Other duties as assigned

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific field required.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a regulated or standardized (i.e. ISO9001/ ISO 13485) high tech or biotech company required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience required.

  • Six Sigma, DMAIC or similar problem-solving methodology experience required.

  • Previous data analysis or statistics experience required.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • qPCR, NGS and other biological methods (highly preferred).

  • Lean manufacturing.

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

The salary range for this role is $135,000.00 - $150,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
