Description
Iowa Western Community College seeks a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to lead marketing efforts for non-credit Business and Community Education (BCE) programs (75%) and the Iowa Western Centers (25%) located in Atlantic, Clarinda, Harlan, Missouri Valley, and Shenandoah, Iowa. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the promotion of non-credit programs through multiple channels, including but not limited to: digital, social, print, tv, radio, and direct marketing. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of marketing strategy, an understanding of social media trends, experience with social and digital campaigns, and skills for basic graphic design.
Job Duties
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for non-credit/BCE and Center locations.
Create and manage engaging content across digital and traditional platforms to increase enrollment and visibility for non-credit offerings.
Design and produce consistent marketing collateral, including fliers, brochures, and newsletters.
Manage social media accounts for BCE programs including regular and consistent content creation, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with Marketing Manager on all paid media buys to ensure alignment, maximize efficiency and monitor budgets.
Serve as primary liaison for BCE marketing to ensure materials align with the IWCC and BCE branding and present a cohesive message.
Analyze and report on marketing campaign performance, including engagement, reach, conversions, and ROI, using data to make recommendations for improvements.
Coordinate with Center Directors to ensure local marketing efforts align with institutional strategies and are well-promoted within the community.
Participate in regular meetings with the Business and Community Education team to discuss strategies, campaign outcomes, and upcoming program offerings.
Create and maintain catalogs and direct mail materials for non-credit trainings.
Support marketing efforts for BCE-related events, open houses, work-based learning initiatives, and informational webinars.
Stay current on marketing trends, digital strategies, and social media developments relevant to higher education and non-credit programs.
Demonstrates IWCC’s core mission, vision and values.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to calmly and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Ability to balance the human relations, policies, and task aspects of the position.
Ability to successfully and diplomatically work with co-workers to achieve common goals.
Experience in marketing, with a focus on social media, digital advertising, and content creation.
Sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of students.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
Understanding of higher education and non-credit programming is a plus.
Regular, prompt & reliable attendance.
Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record
