Overview

Within the Danville Community School District, the elementary school principal assumes the pivotal role of educational leader and administrative steward. Charged with nurturing a vibrant learning atmosphere, advancing academic excellence, and ensuring the holistic welfare of students, faculty, and staff, this position demands a blend of visionary leadership, instructional oversight, student advocacy, community collaboration, and professional enhancement.Salary will be discussed with applicant upon interviewing. Minimum is $70,000 annually.

Qualifications

:

  • Valid Iowa Teaching License required
  • Valid Iowa Administrator License required
  • Master's degree in educational leadership or a related field.
  • Previous administrative experience in a school setting (preferred but not required).
  • Strong understanding of educational trends, curriculum development, and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the DCSD Administration.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Administration:

Provide visionary leadership to the school community, setting goals and objectives aligned with the district's mission and vision.

Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, support staff, and administrative personnel.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective school operation.

Communicate regularly with parents, students, staff, and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and maintain a supportive school environment.
