Are you looking for flexible shift options, with a generous $2 shift differential for any 2nd, 3rd, or weekend shifts?If you answered yes, then this position may be for you!Vera French is looking for Direct Support Staff to help support our clients by teaching daily living skills, providing protective oversight and promoting physical and emotional health. This may include teaching a client how to ride the bus, proper hygiene, taking them to appointments, etc. The Direct Support position is a crucial role for our clients well-being and for Vera French as a whole! We are currently looking to fillFull time2nd Shift and Part time 1st or 2nd shiftpositions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide appropriate interventions to teach or maintain client's skills dependent upon client needs
- Provide protective oversight and supervision
- Document services and communicate regularly with others to ensure continuity of care
- Work with clients on various goals
- Transport clients to appointments, jobs, etc.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Every other weekend availability
- A valid driver's license with a driving record that will allow insurability
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical with a drug and alcohol screen
- Previous experience working with the chronically mentally ill population preferred

Learn and Grow:Vera French offers various in-house training opportunities CPR, Medication Management and other trainings through our learning management system. To encourage our staff to continue their education, Vera French also offers a Tuition Reimbursement and Loan Repayment program for all employees after one year of employment.

Shift times:
- Full-time, part-time and PRN (as needed) positions
- Three shifts, float positions may be available
- 1st shift (7a - 3p)
- 2nd shift (3p - 11p) withgenerous $2 differential
- 3rd shift (11p - 7a) withgenerous $2 differential
- $2 weekend incentivefor working weekend shifts
