Manatt's Inc Lead Mechanic in Davenport, Iowa
The success Manatts, Inc., enjoys today in the construction industry started 75 years ago. Back then, it was one man, one truck, and now our team of employees numbers more than 750 strong. We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year. In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.
Our Davenport shop has an immediate opening for a Lead Mechanic.
Responsibilities
Perform work duties safely without creating potential risk to others.
Ability to work in a highly rewarding team environment.
Willingness to continually learn new skills and techniques to improve skill set and proficiency.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and thorough high-quality inspections on a wide range of equipment.
Preform troubleshooting and diagnostics of issues found on inspections in a timely manner.
Provide accurate consultation on repair solutions.
Provide high quality mechanical repairs in a timely manner.
Utilize OEM diagnostic software to assist with proper repair completion on equipment and heavy trucks. Consistently complete accurate work orders electronically.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must possess and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of major truck components, diesel engine diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical systems, and preventative maintenance.
Excels in the usage of computer diagnostic equipment for multiple OEM platforms.
Demonstrates abilities to excel at complex diagnosis and repair of all equipment-related systems including engines, after-treatment systems, chassis, drive train, & hydraulic systems.
Demonstrates the ability to rebuild complex additional equipment such as hydraulic pumps, ptos, hydraulic motors, and blowers.
Demonstrates ability to weld and fabricate moderate repairs.
Excels in both routine and non-routine repair of on- and off-highway equipment.
Can give repair options with parts and labor breakdown upon request.
Class A CDL preferred - willing to help obtain after hired.
Must have own tools.
Must have acceptable driving record.
Strong communication, analytical and basic computer skills required.
Ability to use manufacturer's computer software to diagnose and repair electronic systems necessary.
