Smokin' Joe's Tobacco and Liquor Outlets, a leading retailer in Iowa, seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented Preventative Maintenance Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of our stores across the state, from the Quad Cities to Des Moines.We offer comprehensive training in HVAC systems and cooler maintenance, so prior experience isn't mandatory. However, a strong foundation in general handy-man skills is a must. Home based position requiring travel to the 17 store locations. Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, coolers, and other store equipment.
- Conduct repairs for general wear and tear within the stores.
- Assist with store layout resets as needed.
- Collaborate with the Director of Store Operations on store remodels.
- Implement monthly, quarterly, or annual merchandising retail store set changes.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to maintain optimal store functionality.
- Participate in special projects, such as transporting store merchandising equipment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to service requests received via email.
- Maintain the company vehicle in excellent condition.
- Commute between all store locations in Iowa and Illinois
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in general handyman skills with a demonstrated ability to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues and store personnel.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify and address equipment malfunctions.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
