VERA FRENCH COMM MENTAL HEALTH CTR Nurse Manager in Davenport, Iowa

We are looking for a full-time Nurse Manager to join our team!
Provides quality patient care and management of all patients and nursing staff working in the Outpatient Department. Functions in a supervisory capacity for nurses and medical assistants while maintaining a working caseload. Coordinates the activities of the nursing department, to include TMS, and directs, organizes, and assigns work to staff within the department. Serves as a backup for Medical Assistants and TMS.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions of the Outpatient Nursing department. Hires, supervises, andevaluates the performanceof staff nurses and medical assistants.
- Coordinates the activities of the nursing department, is responsible for scheduling and providing coverage, and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff
- Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care and customer service.
- Institutes emergency procedures as necessary
- Develops productive work teams.
- Provides face to face, emergency and/or crisis related services for clients as needed.
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating the provision of nursing services and coverage for the Outpatient department. Maintains department payroll documentation
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
- A valid State of Iowa license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years experience working in the mental health field required.
- 3 years experience working in a management or supervisory capacity is preferred.
- Organizational skills are required to plan schedules and manage inventory
