Easterseals Iowa is searching for a passionate and detail-oriented Accountant to join our supportive team! In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the financial health of our organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage Accounts Payable tasks, including processing invoices and assisting with payments.

  • Generate and submit monthly service billing reports.

  • Act as a liaison between Easterseals Iowa and third-party billing vendors.

  • Oversee monthly credit card statements and ensure proper expense coding.

  • Handle Accounts Receivable by entering receipts and managing cash collections.

  • Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts.

  • Prepare and submit reports for program grants.

  • Assist with budgeting and annual audits.

  • Provide support to other accounting and department functions as needed.

    You're a Great Fit If You Have:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong computer skills and experience with accounting software (non-profit experience a plus).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Reliable transportation

  • Prior experience with medical billing and AP/AR a plus!
