Easterseals Iowa is searching for a passionate and detail-oriented Accountant to join our supportive team! In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the financial health of our organization.
What You'll Do:
Manage Accounts Payable tasks, including processing invoices and assisting with payments.
Generate and submit monthly service billing reports.
Act as a liaison between Easterseals Iowa and third-party billing vendors.
Oversee monthly credit card statements and ensure proper expense coding.
Handle Accounts Receivable by entering receipts and managing cash collections.
Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts.
Prepare and submit reports for program grants.
Assist with budgeting and annual audits.
Provide support to other accounting and department functions as needed.
You're a Great Fit If You Have:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
Strong computer skills and experience with accounting software (non-profit experience a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative and professional approach to teamwork.
A commitment to confidentiality.
Reliable transportation
Prior experience with medical billing and AP/AR a plus!
