Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team in DES MOINES, Iowa. This role is essential to our team's success, as it involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. Additionally, the Accounting Clerk will monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Assist with accounts receivable activities, including customer billing and settling customer credit cards

• Support accounts payable activities, including daily invoice processing and weekly check runs

• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations

• Prepare sales tax reports on a monthly basis

• Assist in balancing inventory monthly and conducting month end activities.

• Familiarity with Billing procedures

• Proficiency in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of QuickBooks software

• Experience in using SAP software

• Prior experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar would be advantageous

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field would be beneficial
