What You'll Do

We are seeking an Associate, Investment Operations to join Principal Asset Management. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the lifecycle of investments, ensuring seamless execution and reporting. What you'll be doing:

• Independently process transactions with minimal guidance. Transactions include: establishing new securities, compliance rules, new accounts, and/or new reports to ensure readiness for trading, reconciliation, settlement and/or the client reporting process.

• Collaborate with internal and external personnel to educate, provide direction, obtain information and resolve problems.

• Provide initial and ongoing training to junior team members and serve as first point of contact for inquiries.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on all primary job functions.

• Perform other job related duties or special projects as the need arises.

Success in this position requires a strong client service orientation, the ability to work in a deadline driven, team-based environment and the ability to produce accurate and timely information with minimal supervision.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business.

• 2+ years' work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or related field preferred.

• Knowledge of financial services and investment related terminology.

• Solid analytical, problem solving, time management, planning, decision making, and interpersonal skills.

Skills that will help you stand out:

• Consistently seek opportunities to acquire new skills and apply them to move business forward.

• PowerBI, Tableau and/or Power Query experience is preferred.

• Ability to anticipate, identify and independently address problems and potential symptoms of problems and inquiries and propose solutions.

• Must have the ability to take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$71250 - $95950 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role offers the ability for in-office, and hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
