Position Summary:
The High School Auditorium Technician is responsible for overseeing all audio, video, and technical operations for the Saydel High School auditorium. This role involves coordinating and managing technical needs for school events, activities, and external rentals. The Technician will work closely with the Assistant Auditorium Technician to ensure seamless execution of performances, assemblies, meetings, and community functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all audio, video, and lighting systems for the auditorium during Saydel activities and external rentals.
Oversee the setup, operation, and breakdown of sound, video, and lighting equipment for events.
Collaborate with the Assistant Auditorium Technician to ensure efficient technical support and event coverage.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with audio, video, and lighting systems.
Maintain and perform routine inspections on AV and lighting equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Coordinate with school staff, students, and external clients to understand and fulfill event-specific technical requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices in the operation of auditorium equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the auditorium.
Provide technical training and guidance to students or staff involved in auditorium productions.
Assist in managing schedules for auditorium usage and ensuring timely setup for each event.
Qualifications:
Experience in audio, video, and lighting systems, preferably in a theater or auditorium setting.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for technical equipment.
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and external clients.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or training in AV technology, theater production, or related fields.
Experience with stage management and event coordination.
