Cyber Security Business information Security Officer (BISO)

About our Team: This team is at the center of gravity for the cybersecurity practice at Elsevier. We manage a program to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information resources, Consumer Data, and Technology infrastructure

About the Role: Securing assets and reduces losses, planning, implementing, and testing systems; preparing security and fraud management standards, and directing staff

Responsibilities

• Leading direction of security strategies integration.

• Providing leadership and direction for the integration of security strategy and architecture with business and IT strategy.

• Managing the oversight of risk assessments, such as vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, risk reviews and third-party risk assessments.

• Developing strategy, identify compliance initiatives, and author and promote appropriate security policies for Compliance and Governance

• Designing and reviewing security events for anomalous activity, and collaborate with peer groups to take action to safeguard information assets.

• Assessing and measuring security programs to ensure closed-loop operations, seek out and execute to reap program maturity & deliver solutions.

  Requirements

• Possess knowledge of security strategy and architecture integration

• ·H ave an extensive understanding of design and strategy development of compliance and governance initiatives.

• Demonstrate the ability to assess security policy effectiveness.

• Show effectiveness of security programs within primary area of responsibility in a complex Cloud/EUC/Infrastructure environment

• Ability to lead the exploration of practical security solutions to address emerging threats and compliance requirements,
