Job Summary:

The Deposit Operations Supervisor is a leadership role that oversees a broad scope of professional activities related to the day-to-day supervision in the Deposit Records area. This includes record exceptions, CD, HSA, and IRA processing, document scanning, IRS Tin Match, Penalty Notice, B-Notice processing and escheat processing. This position provides technical support, functional, and operational expertise including issue monitoring, document monitoring, and problem solving. This position plans, organizes controls, integrates, and evaluates the work of 5+ direct reports. Supervisory duties include establishing performance requirements, providing coaching for improvement and development, and recommending compensation and other rewards for direct reports. The position represents Deposit Operations on internal and bank wide projects and leads efforts to implement continuous enhancements and controls over all related banking functions and processes.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

Provides day-to-day leadership and works with staff to ensure high-performance, customer service oriented work environment achieving departmental goals within budgeted income and expenses

*

Monitors, evaluates, and directs assigned employees which include communication about projects, and other issues that may affect the department

*

Monitors workflows to ensure Service Level Agreements are met

*

Coaches, encourages, and disciplines employees as needed

*

Ensures all procedures for the team are written and updated on currency

*

Builds and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders and initiates timely and accurate communication to them on issues that may impact their processes or customer base

*

Supports management decisions that are made for the betterment of the team and those decisions that are made outside of our control with a positive attitude to all stakeholders, staff, and other bank employees

*

Tracks and reports Deposit Record Exceptions to account officers

*

Provides backup support when necessary during staff PTO

*

Maintains adherence to company policies and procedural guidelines, ensuring key banking controls are maintained

*

Monitors workflows and recommends process improvements

*

Provides subject matter expertise on assigned projects

*

Compiles statistical reports as requested

*

Completes special projects as assigned by Management

*

Establishes staff performance goals and conducts performance evaluations

*

Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

*

Two-year post-secondary degree/specialized study preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

*

At least four years of previous experience in bank operations required

*

Two or more years of previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's prior related experience and education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions.

Hiring Salary Range: $64,000 - $80,000
