Job Title: Production Technician II

Job Description

As a Production Technician, you will process raw materials and chemicals, following batch records to mix the correct chemicals to create the final product. You will utilize various machines to measure the raw materials, take samples for lab quality checks, and operate cranes to lift large plastic bags of chemicals. This role is physically demanding and requires climbing stairs, pushing materials, and wearing a full uniform and respirator mask. You will also be responsible for signing off on documents to ensure accuracy and may perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 480 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.

Work Environment

This fully on-site position is located in a manufacturing facility in Des Moines, Iowa. You will work the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, starting between 2 pm to 4 pm for 8 to 10-hour shifts. The environment is a chemical plant, involving exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and biological hazards. The dress code includes uniforms, steel-toed boots, and hair nets, and you will be required to shower after each shift. Pay for the 2nd shift includes a $1.75 shift differential, totaling $22.75 per hour. Holiday pay is provided at the 1st shift rate of $21 per hour once full-time.
