Job Description:

  1. Homecoming Activities:

    • Lead the planning and coordination of all homecoming events, including pep rallies, spirit week activities, and the homecoming dance.

    • Collaborate with student government members and other school staff to develop creative and inclusive event ideas that promote school spirit and unity.

    • Manage logistics such as budgeting, vendor contracts, and volunteer coordination to ensure the successful execution of homecoming activities.

    • Provide guidance and support to student government members as they take on leadership roles in planning and executing specific homecoming events.

  2. Student Leadership Opportunities:

    • Develop and implement programs and initiatives that empower students to take on leadership roles within the school community.

    • Mentor student government members in developing leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

    • Organize training sessions, workshops, and retreats to help students hone their leadership abilities and cultivate a sense of responsibility towards their peers and school.

  3. Student Representation:

    • Serve as a liaison between the student body and school administration, advocating for student interests, concerns, and initiatives.

    • Organize regular meetings between student government representatives and school administrators to discuss pertinent issues and collaborate on solutions.

    • Encourage active participation and feedback from students through avenues such as surveys, suggestion boxes, and open forums to ensure their voices are heard and valued.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with high school students in a leadership capacity.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and administrators.

  • Enthusiasm for promoting student engagement, empowerment, and representation within the school community.
