Starting Salary Range at $105,000/year + DOE and Bonus Opportunity

Maverik/Kum&Go is seeking out next Information Security Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll be essential in maintaining and optimizing our security infrastructure, serving as a technical subject matter expert on a variety of advanced security tools. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team, contributing to our Red Team program and enhancing our incident response capabilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Security Infrastructure: Effectively design, deploy, maintain, evaluate, and optimize the Company’s security infrastructure, serving as the technical subject matter expert and System Manager on assigned tools, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure optimal performance

  • Red Team Program: Develop and execute the Company’s Information Security Testing program, including conducting in-house penetration testing and coordinating third party penetration test engagements

  • Security Development: Design, develop, and maintain scripts using Python and/or PowerShell to automate security tasks, integrate security tools, and enhance incident response capabilities

  • Security Awareness: Provide advice and guidance to the business and other IT teams from a cybersecurity perspective and assist with the Security Awareness & Training Program

  • Incident Handling: Provide escalation response to security incidents

  • Threat Intelligence: Monitor threat feeds analyze the risk to the organization and assist in coordinating the appropriate response

Qualifications: Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related technical

discipline preferred

  • Certifications preferred: CEH, CISA, GCED, GPEN, CHFI, OSCP, SSCP

Qualifications: Experience

  • 3+ years working in information security or related technical experience

  • 5+ years experience in Information technology or related experience

  • Operational competency in Python and/or PowerShell required

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge on multiple subjects among access control, network security, operating system security, email and communications security, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, application security, risk management, operational security, authentication systems, system security testing and hardening, and cloud security

  • Strong written skills, including documentation skills specifically with the drafting and updating of process and procedures

  • Analytical skills, including familiarity with troubleshooting, problem solving and investigation of incidents to determine root causes.

  • A history of leveraging others appropriately & overcoming unexpected obstacles while utilizing appropriate metrics to measure progress

  • Efficient & effective Project Management skill
