Wells Fargo Lead Business Execution Consultant in DES MOINES, Iowa

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to join the Business Enablement team. The Commercial Banking ("CB") Business Enablement teams works with CB senior leadership team to develop the business' short, medium, and long-term strategy, partners with business teams and functional areas (both within Commercial Banking and across Wells Fargo) to identify, scope, size, and decision business opportunities and develop solutions, and leads the delivery of CB's most significant, complex, or cross-business strategic priorities. The team also serves as a thought partner and counsel to Commercial Banking's senior leaders.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain central repository of all business initiatives, including intake, queue management, and leadership status reporting.

  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of all initiatives and provide guidance to initiative owners to ensure conformity to initiative execution standards.

  • Coordinate schedule of initiative-related training or large group implementation activities for proper sequencing and minimal schedule conflicts / overlap.

  • Support overall change execution with Lead Business Enablement Consultant, Delivery Lead and Business Manager through strategic planning, intake, and reporting.

  • Manage and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining top-quality work and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Engage/consult with the Business Execution & Readiness team as needed.

  • Support leader forum preparation for multiple national leader meetings to help align initiative and adoption activities with leadership communication to support implementation and execution. Emphasize key activities impacting client facing employees

  • Lead cross functional teams to assess current state, strategize, plan, and execute a variety of Business Readiness programs working closely with internal partners within Business Readiness, Business Enablement and across Commercial Banking

  • Develop, manage and execute detailed business readiness plans to meet the business objective

  • Be involved in developing internal communication and executing change awareness training to drive successful employee adoption of change

  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate

  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance

  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations

  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans

  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution and Readiness team and leaders to drive deliverables

  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform business readiness assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to large scale strategic initiatives through developing readiness plans driving effective execution through communications, training, procedures and other strategies to support adoption

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to audiences with varying levels of management.

  • Ability to quickly re-prioritize work in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Work with minimal direction and take initiative in identifying opportunities, areas for improvement, decision making and problem solving.

  • Work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

  • Drive successful execution of business initiatives; ability to plan, prioritize and deliver results.

  • Facilitate meetings, lead discussions, and present complex concepts into simplified solutions in a straightforward and understandable manner to multiple levels of business leaders and employees across the organization.

  • Work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.

  • Experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment.

  • 5+ years in financial services industry experience with a strong preference for experience in Commercial Banking

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
