Aerotek Lead Installation Technician in Des Moines, Iowa

Construction Installer

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description:

  • We are seeking dedicated and skilled Furniture Installers to join our team.

  • In this role, you will work in the construction industry, completing furniture installation to specification.

  • Your daily tasks will include delivering and assembling furniture on a commercial job site, following blueprints and instructions for assembly and placement, loading and unloading trucks, and preparing and cleaning the job site.

  • You will also mount cabinets and bookshelves, assemble furniture as needed, and maintain a safe and clean workspace.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assemble furniture to be installed on commercial job sites: corporate offices, hospital and clinics, educational building, etc.

  • Ability to follow blueprints and instructions to determine how the furniture should be assembled and where it should be placed.

  • Load and unload the truck, and assemble furniture as needed.

  • Review floor plans and space planning.

Work Environment:

  • This role is based in various commercial job sites and office locations.

  • Days begin at the warehouse with truck loading, followed by traveling to different worksites for installation tasks.

  • Working hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm / Monday - Friday

  • Will be traveling to different sites with a crew of installers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation

  • Proven experience in commercial installation or any construction experience.

  • Ability to understand and interpret installation drawings and blueprints.

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy furniture items.
