Job Description
Are you an experiencedLinux Systems Administrator with demonstrated experience in the execution of distributed Operational Training (OT), which can encompass warfighters in Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training environments? A week in the life of aLinux Systems Administrator includes:
Installation, support and maintenance of DTOC mission network servers, computer equipment and connection of peripherals
Configure software, modify software configuration, and perform basic configuration management IAW all STIGs and other cybersecurity requirements to include JSIG
Plan for and respond to service outages and other problems
Work as part of project team in design and integration of OTTI technologies and DTOC solutions to meet mission requirements
Provide software application assistance for commonly used office automation applications and M&S tools
Support HBSS and SIEM solutions and continuous monitoring
Implement client workstations software patches, security fixes and service releases
Identify, analyze and document long range requirements
Plan, execute and manage all support, maintenance, and operational functions for Linux systems within DTOC boundaries
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree
SECRET clearance
General knowledge of different Operating Systems such as Windows and different types of Linux (IGEL, Ubuntu, etc.) are required
General knowledge of Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) software and Powershell
Must maintain Security+ certification
DISA ACAS Training/Certified
A minimum of two (2) years of working knowledge of Citrix and Powershell and Scripting
A minimum of three (3) years of employment experience of computer/networking related experience within the past five (5) years
Experience managing Storage Arrays, file and Virtual Machine backups
Experience building and updating Virtual Desktop Interface technologies, VMware, MS Windows and Linux, physical computers, virtual machines and working LAN experience
