Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
As a material handler, you will be responsible for pulling customer orders based on invoices and tickets, assisting the burn table operator, and organizing materials. This role involves bending, kneeling, and walking most of the day to move products, pulling orders from racks, and using large cranes to move steel. You will also assist in reorganizing materials in the racks, load and unload trucks, and work directly with customers who pick up their orders.
Responsibilities
Pull customer orders based on invoices and tickets.
Assist the burn table operator to pull products for orders.
Move products by bending, kneeling, and walking throughout the day.
Pull orders from racks and use large cranes to move steel orders.
Reorganize materials in the racks using the company's color system.
Load and unload trucks and assist customers with their orders.
Communicate with management about order and material status.
Prioritize tasks to ensure orders and customer service are the top priorities.
Essential Skills
Experience in warehouse, picking, and material handling.
Ability to load and handle materials.
Familiarity with using a tape measure.
Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.
Machine operation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with micrometers and calipers.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to see all colors.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Labor-intensive work experience (e.g., carpentry, construction, mechanical) for 1+ years.
Longevity in previous positions (2+ years in each role).
Experience in military, building maintenance, or around product variations/measurements is preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large warehouse with stacks of steel and racks (called monkey racks). It is loud and dirty due to the product, with a lot of distractions from customer interactions and incoming orders. Overhead cranes are used to move heavy steel products. The facility is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The team size fluctuates between 15-20 members and the work is mostly independent. The shift is from 7 am to 4 pm. Employees must wear jeans, steel-toed boots, and work-appropriate attire for safety reasons.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
